If you have already had your wedding, do you ever just miss your wedding day? Cause same. The 15ish months of planning was honestly so fun for me (with just a few minor freak outs). The day was a dream and went by in a FLASH just like everyone said it would. I tried so hard to soak in every minute, but I’d go back and live the day over and over again if I could.
We worked with some amazing vendors throughout the process and I wanted to take the time to rave about each of them because we had such an awesome experience! I’ll go into more details of certain aspects of our day in other posts but for now here is who we were lucky enough to work with.
What a sweet and special day this was!! And I almost didn’t do it, but I will forever be grateful my photographer turned friend encouraged me to. Now excuse me while I overshare my photos and give you a little insight to this magical day!
First off, did you know that an entire day for bridal portraits isn’t common everywhere? The more I talked about it I found out that it is more of just a Texas or “south” thing. Which I had no idea cause I just remember seeing them from people growing up. But after taking them, I now understand why the photos are so special and the day can actually turn into a stress reliever!
To some this is probably no surprise, but this in my second blog. If you know me personally or from The Homebody Company, you may be wondering why I felt the need to start a second blog instead of just write everything in one. Why would I take on the responsibility of having a whole other platform to manage including all of the social media and emails that came along with it?
I want to write about E V E R Y T H I N G. As much as I try very hard to rest and take a break, it’s not usually what my mind agrees with. And instead of compiling that all into one place with a range of content, I wanted somewhere where I could talk about life things and somewhere I could keep going with my sewing and crafts.
This CC cream goes on sooooo easy and smooth. It is PERFECT for my skin in the winter months when it needs a little extra moisture.
This one is coming in as “1b” only because I use these two CC creams interchangeably. I love this one just as much, but I find it is much better for my skin in the summer months (aka most of the year here in Texas).
Small shops are the bomb! In fact, I own one myself – check out The Homebody Company.
As a small shop owner, I try so very hard to support small shops when I can. Whether it be something for myself or a gift, it is so much more rewarding when I purchase something and know that I am supporting someones dream. This list doesn’t even begin to cover all of the small shops I love, but it gives you just a few to take a look at!
Ohhhh amazon! The place of prime and way too many things I don’t necessarily *need* but have found as some of my best buys. Here’s a quick list of my most six most recent favorite purchases.
No more buying a new lighter over and over again? Yes please! This one just plugs in to charge and is perfect for keeping around the house to light my absurd amount of candles everyday.
I wore this on our honeymoon and it was SO COMFORTABLE. And that’s something I will say easily about a swimsuit.
A hummus that Jordan actually admitted to liking? Now that is something I definitely have to share with y’all.
All it takes is 3 simple ingredients and your food processor. Start by draining your chickpeas and rinsing them off in a strainer. Shake dry and dump in food processor with packet of ranch seasoning and about half of olive oil.
Puree mixture in food processor while streaming in remaining olive oil. Depending on desired consistency, you can add more or less olive oil at this point. I like ours creamy and always use remaining olive oil (+ sometimes just a tad more).
Transfer to serving bowl and put a just about a tablespoon of oil on top if storing to help keep from drying out. Serve with
